As I walk about on my dog walks I often stop to look at people's houses and notice the names they have given them. I might start collecting these as a new hobby. I like this one. It is near to the vicarage and is redolent of church bells.
Do you think it has any connection with being at the end of the rope? I'm always fascinated by house names, ours is horrible and we have a horrible plaque with the revolting name on it. Yick - but we do have a house near us called 'Nirvana' - my daughter was most impressed - thinking of the Kurt Cobain connection - which might not have been the intention of the people who named it.
Frances, 'Nirvana' is a good one, and will have different connotations to different generations. It's a bit like calling a house 'Stairway To Heaven' or 'Wunderwall'!

Sounds like a fun thing to "collect" and you don't have to clutter up your shelves with it. I don't get the comment, must be something British?
