Hey, Eleanor! Canada is very kewl :-D there's plenty to do and see. It's also very cold, brrrr... it's minus 11 degrees, but with the wind, it feels even colder... tell you what, when you're old enough to travel by yourself, you'll come and stay with us - come to think of it, bring your mum too :-) c yer l8r
psychedelic shags. Do you remember there was a song and a dance routine called 'The Shag' - I think it was by an american group called the Shags - not sure, but I don't think it has the same connotation as here. Nice word! I love double entendres - have you seen the Rotten Correspondent's one? not so much an entendre as a pretty obvious
Thanks you guys and thanks Rima! When im old inuff to travel by myself ill come and see you lol! Dont worry im used to cold weather coz here its frezzing- as im writng this im s-so c-c-cold that im shivering!
Frances, I thought this week's Two Things would be a great way to test how far British slang has travelled as a certain word is left implicit and left hanging in the air (I thought on the lines of a fig leaf) but I am not going to do it as it is trite and childish.
bev, do it! do it! we loooove trite and childish in this little village of ours - i have no idea whatsoever what you're talking about, but i perked up at the mention of trite and childish (sounds fabulous, like toast and eggs or simon and garfunkel or Ben & Jerry's - that's an ice cream brand from vermont ;-) do it! do it!

Very good, Bev. You are so funny!
Edith Piaf was called the sparrow, but never the egret. It will be a whole new trend you've started.
Eggscellent!
