Our first snowdrop.
I can report that I have been filling up my week with various activities. Most mornings and afternoons have now been accounted for by various courses, all free, which I have enjoyed thoroughly.
I have also thinking about getting back into Higher Education. I enjoyed doing my degree, lurking in the library and socialising with the mature students, so have applied for this workshop on creative writing at Hull Uni which starts in April. I find that once you get the discipline of writing assignments it has a knock-on effect and you are prompted into writing and reading more generally. I really need the threat of a deadline to get anything done.
I attended a course yesterday among some rather interesting and unusual people. I would like to write about this online. However, for some reason I now crave anonymity so I am moving to Freewebs where I am going to write a daily blog on my activities (copying Irene's successful format) while still commenting on all the old favourites here.

Hey Bev,
For quite a while now posts from your blog appear in my reader, but by the time I get here to your blog they no longer exist.
You haven't asked my opinion, but I want you to know that it's always been your writing that has intrigued, entertained, and made me a fan of yours. I hope that whatever you do, it does include more writing. I wish I could also read it, but I understand the craving for anonymity. (You do realize you are only one name, "Bev," away from anonymity to me anyway.)
I may have taken too long to write this, it may not go through before you pull the plug on this post. I just wanted to say I love your writing, your unique sense of humor, and I hope that if you do go on to write more -- in whatever guise -- you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed reading it.
(Are you sure you don't want to stay here to do that?)
The reader has been having trouble uploading your page and I get error messages. Tonight I didn't.
I think it is great that you are taking all these courses. Creative writing especially.
How anonymous are you going to be on Facebook? Will I be able to find you?
ohhh, bev
Bev,
whatever you do enjoy it. Hope the courses go well.
I will try and see if the band web site can get updated a bit more often and even use my bartonspartan account!
It will never be as entertaining as your writing though.

I second Debi's motion, I do like your freedom to remove posts and comments. I think that is good. I feel some freedom having ring-fenced my old blog, I can't remember what strange things I may have written, but it is good to know someone isn't suddenly going to arrive and find my rubbish when I've forgotten all about it.
there should have been a but in that sentence. And I would be honoured to follow you if you let me.
I am too busy marking exam papers and trying to be a bit more active in other ways, studying Music (beginner's - don't be impressed) and trying to do some cultural stuff. Going to a concert tomorrow and have been to a few exhibitions recently. Will start blogging once I break the back of the marking, but I need the money to pay for going to see my Dad and for buying the laptop I needed to do the work. Circular money.
hugs
Hey, snowdrops - ohhh - am I supposed to read the wordss too?
