The Pheonix or Firebird

I love messing about with Dumpr., and while doing this I made an egg with an egret which looks like a Pheonix. My research on Wikopedia (another thing I like to do) leads me to believe that the original Pheonix was actually a heron. So another of the permutations of egret, and positively the last one!

I agree with you about the Phoenix being an egret, and therefor being a heron, as I found this in Wikipedia:

Originally, the phoenix was identified by the Egyptians as a stork or heron-like bird called a benu.

And:

An egret is any of several herons.

A heron is called a "reiger" in Dutch and I see one every time I go to the pond with my sister. It sits very still on a tree trunk in the water, with its shoulders shrugged and its wings folded up, waiting for a fish to come by.

Good job on the egg with egret you made, by the way!

Is an eggret a small egg?
I believe you completely. Now I am in mourning for the end of a most egrettable stage of blogging.
