Two Things Saturday/Sunday

Here is a pub possibly on a Saturday evening, the busiest time for pubs.

'A good local pub has much in common with a church, except that a pub is warmer, and there's more conversation' William Blake

This is a memorable quotation which I actually saw on the wall of a pub somewhere, so I have rather cheekily put a vicar outside this particular 'church', though he probably will not being preaching a Sunday sermon here but having a good pint.

ooh and he's levitating, either he is very holy indeed, or just a bit high after too much communion wine! LOL

Very good thinking! I like frances' comment about why he's levitating.

I just thought it didn't look a very warm and welcoming pub, and this is more like it. I was just being lazy and getting any old picture out of my files LOL

why not change things in mid-stream? I think it is tempting to do this, when people come back they may do a double-take and others may wonder what the hell the comments are about! LOL

Hi Bev, On the Priest in the picture theme, about 35 years ago (for around 6 years)our local village vicar (Stratford on Avon)used to say that if the people wont come to him he would go to them, consequently he popped in the local Pub on his way from last service on sunday evening, giving usually a simple prayer, a couple of hymns and a pint and away. His Pub Christmas service was something else.

Sounds like a good priest, Big Biker Bob!

Right, this is DEFINITELY the end of my blogging career on Blogger, though I may well move somewhere else as I am quite into the digital art. I am addicted to the Two Things, which is why I did this one this week. But I'm sure they will have competitions like this one on other blogging websites.

No more comments please, to tempt me back in:)

I just thought it wasn't very politically correct and might offend people like yourself. OK, I'll do it, but don't say you haven't been warned.....
