Two Things Solid/Pattern

Here is our little guard dog sitting on the windowsill.

His solid and scruffy form makes a great contrast with the delicate lacy pattern of the lace net curtains.

Bev, I have no idea what "naff" means -- but I have always loved your lace curtains. So British. So quaint. And now that I know they are the real stuff -- not that nylon fakery -- I love them more.

I think you've done an excellent job with solid and pattern. That last picture just makes me want to scoop up that little guy and take him for a walk, which he so obviously is pining for.

I love seeing your world!

I have taken off the bit about the lace nets being naff - they are the real stuff, off white, cotton, not those awful white nylon ones. You do have to have them, or people look in.

He is just so great. I love the way he has himself balanced with one leg on the sofa. I agree about nets. When I lived in London I took the nets down and grew loads of plants across the bay window. After a few years someone said to me "Are you the lady who lives in the conservatory?" We have horrible nylon ones here on some of the windows. Yuck and ick. Naff is the word. Ugly is the second word.

What, on the windowsill?! You must have got your dog from the same place we got ours. Our Winston loves the top of the back of the couch. I swear they bread the westie with a cat.
